• Add ketchup, Worcestershire, water, and vinegar into the pot.
  • Bring to a light simmer on medium heat.
  • Add liquid smoke, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  • Whisk continuously for 10–15 minutes until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth.
  • Cook for an additional 15-20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Cool and store.
